Makeover for Destin Middle School's Marlin Fountain

The 64” tall marlin by Destin Middle School’s entrance was in desperate need of a makeover. The art teacher reached out to Andy to see if he was interested in painting it. Four of our five kids have been students at DMS and our fifth child will start there this fall, so of course we said yes.

What a transformation! It hardly looks like the same marlin! I hope our boys feel a sense of pride every time they walk by it. I also think it’s cool that the fountain was originally installed in 2007, the year our son Noah was born. And now as Noah graduates from DMS in a couple weeks, this is sort of like his parting gift. We love this school and being part of this community.
